Hats from the Heart

Step-it-up Camp is honoring the Young Patients of Children’s Hospital with one-of-a-kind Hats. On Saturday, November 24, from 9:30 to 1pm, high school students who are members of Step-it-Up Camp will make over 50 hats for children who are patients at Children’s Hospital.

Monir Zandghoreishi, who is Director of the Fashion Club for Step-It-Up Camp, said “Anyone can go out and buy a hat but these are very special to our children because they are made with thought and care, and love.”

The hats are funny, colorful, clever, cute, interesting, punky, and wild; they come in all shapes and sizes and are meant for kids who want to show their true personalities. How would you cover your head if something like cancer happened to you?  The students at Step-it-Up Camp are making hats for children who are sick and giving them the gift of hope and inspiration.
